idt sound was a hassle, tried many that had yellow mark and finally found one that worked. i got poping once but disabled idt power feature in control panel and it went away.

I am trying to install XP on a DV5-1124ca , i got 95% of everything installed. My firs question is : How on earth did you install quicktouch without problems? I keeps looking for dwmapi.dll , which is Vista only? So , no quicktouch for me. I installed the ENE CIR receiver drivers , but i got a ! , which went away after installing quickplay, but my remote will just not work. Im guessing i am missing something that was installed in Vista : Microsoft eHome Infrared transceiver.

I cannot find Microsoft eHome MCIR 109 keyboard drivers either. Which i’m sure goes hand in hand with the Infrared remote, and is the reason why my remote is not working.

Also , i have one device that won’t install. According the Unknown Devices , its the SB700 LPC Host Controller, For which i just cannot find suitable drivers. Where the hell can i find those drivers ?

    Information gathered from Unknown Devices:
    PCI standard ISA bridge
Chip: ATI Technologies Inc SB700 LPC Host Controller.
    PnP ID: VEN_1002&DEV_439D&SUBSYS_00000000&REV_0

Update: I didn’t think the SB700 LPC controller was the ATI SMbus, since it was already installed when i installed windows XP (i slipstreamed both the AHCI drivers and the SMbus drivers onto xp) I then followed the idea of forcing the SMbus driver to that unknown device , and it seems to have installed. Any tips on what i part of my system i should test in order to see if the drivers are working accordingly?

I also found the MCIR 109 keyboard drivers on my XP cd , but the way they are installed on vista , they go along with the 101/102 keyboard drivers installed. I can’t figure out what the MCIR drivers were associated to? Could it be that that device is not detected in device manager? Any help is appreciated.
