How to: Installing Windows XP on Toshiba satellite a200-23 Notebook and all windows xp drivers.

Before start to windows xp installation ;

  1. Make a xp cd which can recognize sata hdd ( How to make it?)
  2. Download Service pack 2. Download Service pack 2 English, Download other languages.
  3. Download drivers and put them your computers d disk.
  4. Start your computer from cd/dvd. If you dont know how to set it please read this page.

Steps;

  1. Install xp with your sata capable windows xp cd..
  2. Install service pack 2.
  3. Intall windows xp drivers.

Drivers:

  1. Chipset driver : intel mainboard driver.
  2. ati hd2600 vga driver: Download.
  3. wireless driver.
  4. realtek lan – ethernet driver.
  5. For audio driver please read this post.
  6. modem driver download
  7. card reader driver , link2
  8. Synaptics touchpad driver , Alps Driver
  9. bluetooth driver
  10. Bluetooth monitor
  11. webcam driver
  12. TOSHIBA Assist: Link1
  13. TOSHIBA Hotkey Utility: Link1
  14. TOSHIBA Accessibility: Link1
  15. TOSHIBA Hardware Setup Utility: Link1
  16. TOSHIBA Supervisor Password: Link1
  17. TOSHIBA Fn-esse: Link1 ya da link2
  18. Touch pad aç/kapa aracı: Link1
  19. TOSHIBA Controls : (6 button)Link1
  20. TOSHIBA Power Saver: Link1
  21. TOSHIBA Power Saver Driver: Link1
  22. TOSHIBA Zooming Utility: Link1
  23. TOSHIBA ConfigFree: Link1
  24. TOSHIBA SD Memory Utilities: Link1
  25. TOSHIBA PC Diagnostic Tool: Link1
  26. CD/DVD Drive Acoustic Silencer: Link1

    I want to ask you, when i installed XP in my notebook (Satellit A200) my VGA only detect 32 MB, but if Installed wit Vista it will detect 256 MB, How to resolve this Problem???

    and allso my hotkey cannot be used, if I installed my notebook with XP.

    you have to install vga driver correctly.
    try this driver

    i bought toshiba A200,its windows need to product key to stayed active and i entry the serial at the back of my laptop but i receive an errorr message that say the serial number is false!!what can i do?please help me

    Thank you so much for providing this guide. I downgraded to Windows XP Pro SP2 fro Vista Home Basic, but unfortunately Toshiba’s website didn’t have enough XP Drivers. Thumbs up for you dude! Saved me the trouble of searching for the specific drivers one by one :)

    Minor feedback: Some of the links doesn’t work anymore and some Satellites come with an Intel 945 Chipset for Video so you might want to look into that! Nevertheless, you rock!!!

    I am trying to install XP on my Toshiba Satellite A200. I have tried with the network driver on your post and it wouldnt work.

    In the “Network Connections” it shows a generic connection (not wireless, i haven’t set up wireless drivers yet) and it does not respond to network cable plug/unplug. So I guess it is a generic windows network driver/protocol set. This generic driver can also be deleted easily from the computer.

    Please advice what network driver I can use.

    he i m hassan i have this laptop buy it feet l down and the lcd brock ok i fix it ofter that about 1 mounth it didn work after 6 mounth hehe :) i start think then i remov the batry and it work about 5 min only now it work for 5 sec and no power ? how can i fix this plz answer me

    heyy. im having trouble finding a download drive (file)for ati hd2600 vga driver. ur site seems to have it but the link is broken and does not work. would u be able to direct me to another web site with a similar link or r u able to relink the link or fix it ??
