For szorny: I had the same issue and after unpacking file “Chipset and LAN nforce_winxp_16.08_english_whql”, I solved it takin following steps:
When WindowsXP shows Welcome to the Found New Hardware Wizard, check “No,this time” (Next). On the next window check “Instal from a list ….” (Next). On the next window check “Don’t search…” (Next). From the list of Common hardware types choose Network adapters (Next). From the left scroll down window, select NVIDIA. The right window will show NVIDIA nForce Networking Controller. Highlight and click Next. A warning message appears but ignore it by clicking YES. The intallation will finish automatically.

I install this update for conexat HD Audio smart:
    http://www.mediafire.com/?dg0cmmkm4y4

Use this for audio.Unzip to a folder.

From Device Manager, right click “Audio Device on HD”,choose Update driver,

    No to connect,

Install from a list or specific location,

Select Don’t Search, I will choose the driver to install,

For the Hardware Type select ‘Show All Devices’

Remove the check from “Show Compatible Hardware” and click on “Have Disk”.

Next…browse to the unzipped folder and choose the “WiSVHe5.inf”.

    Ignore XP when it complains.
    Reboot.

thanks to Notebook database for drivers for my laptop! now enjoy Windows XP. Vista is a crap!
