How to: Boot your notebook from a cd or dvd.

Hello, If you want to install xp you have boot your laptop from your windows xp cd.

You have to enter your notebooks bios screens to change boot options.

There are a few bios producer. We will tell you popular bios producers settings.

When you start your computer, check the boot-screen for setup key, In most newer notebook and laptop it will be DELETE or F2 Key.

Phoenix BIOS

  1. Restart you notebook and press the key when starting. ( In this case press F2).

  2. Choose Advanced Bios Features.

  3. Set First Boot Device to CDROM and Second or third to HDD.

  4. Press F10 to save it.

AmiBios settings

  2. Choose the BOOT option.
  3. Choose Boot Device Priority and choose first boot device to CDROM and second boot device to HARD DRIVE.

  4. You can press F10 to save settings

  1. Restart you notebook and press the key when starting. ( In this case press DELETE).
