Asus F3SR Xp Installation
Before start to installation ;
- Make a xp cd which can recognize sata hdd ( How to make it?)
- Download Service pack 2. Download Service pack 2 English, Download other languages.
- Download drivers and put them your computers d disk.
- Start your computer from cd/dvd. If you dont know how to set it please read this page.
Steps;
- Install xp with your sata capable windows xp cd..
- Install service pack 2.
- Intall windows xp drivers.

its great fu.k vista my laptop is working much and much better
In order for XP to recognise the HD2400 ATi drivers, you have to manually select the .inf file from the driver installation.
The ATi self executing installer won’t detect the VGA device otherwise.
The manufacturer’s support was not able any help nor through their pages nor with their staff… the download area is a mess even if it looks nice… Thanks to you I could get the link to this executable to generate the floppy drivers for my SATA controller for the beginning of the install of XP (F6) … Vista got me bold and furious with there black desktop and minimal mode even i registered the OS properly… back to XP is the a way… Linux would be another.

Some of the links dont work but it doesnt matter its the best guide for this if been able to find, i have got it to work perfectly on my Asus f3sr THANX MATE!
For the Ati driver, have a look at this website

In short, it modifies the Ati software in such a way that it does work for our laptops.
The only thing I need to get running now is the FN keys and the silver keys at the top of the keyboard. Anyone tips?
